On March 31st we decided to drive to Ephraim and check out Snow College. Wes has been accepted there for this fall and we wanted to see if he could get into their nursing program there. We set up a tour of the college and wanted to meet with a counselor to see what our odds are at getting his nursing degree here. I couldn't help but feel peace as we drove there. Once we got there we talked to the housing office, met with a counselor and the scholarship lady. It turns out that the scholarship deadline was April 1st. This lady asked if we applied and when we said no she gave us a piece of paper and told us to write down our schooling and financial goals. She is not supposed to let students write things by hand but she told us that she personally looks through the applications and that she would remember it was us.
While we were on the tour we found a writing lab and after we were done walking around we went and typed it up. When we brought it back to her she said that our odds of getting a scholarship are very good. I don't think we will know until late May but I'm grateful for her help and concern.
We also met with an advisor while we were there. He told us that Wes is only 2 classes away from getting his Associate's Degree in General's. He also said that Wes has to take 6 more classes before we can apply to the Nursing program. So if we do go down in the fall we won't be able to apply until he is done with his pre rec's. I'm grateful for how helpful this advisor was and advice he gave to us.
Since Manti is about 2 minutes away we decided to drive to the Temple. It's so beautiful and is literally up on a hill. No matter where you are in Manti you can see the Temple. It reminds me of what Gary E. Stevenson said in Conference on Sunday. " You are Never lost when you can see the Temple." That's what I feel whenever I see the Temple. I know that if we keep the Temple in our lives that we won't stray from the gospel. I know Heavenly Father is with us in our lives and he will always be apart of our decisions if we let him. No matter where we are.

Thanks for sharing with us how Heavenly Father is guiding your decisions in your life. I love the picture of the Manit temple. It's amazing how keeping our eye on it can be such a strong foundation in our lives. We love you three.
you guys have been so very blessed. I hope that he gets the scholarship, that would be so fantastic!
GOOD LUCK WITH SNOW COLLEGE & YOUR FUTURE! LOOKS BRIGHT!
Ohhhh, I love the Manti temple so much! Evan proposed to me on the Manti Temple grounds right in the front. Less than four months later we were married in the Wells room there...that was named after my great grandfather Daniel H. Wells the first president of the Manti Temple. :)
I'm so far behind on "what's happening"! You may know by now. Anyway, I'm excited to hear about your plans. Hope you get the scholarship. All the best and love from me.
