As many of you know I teach in Relief Society. Tomorrow the lesson is on Prayer and Promptings by Pres. Packer. I've been so touched by his words. They have really helped me get through the week. Life doesn't always go the way we planned but most of the time the unplanned things are better than what we hoped.
I don't really share very many spiritual things on our blog. But I wanted to talk about the Holy Ghost for a minute. In Pres. Packer's talk he talks about listening to and following the promptings we feel.
When I was 7 years old my Mom, sisters and I went to Classic Skating for my birthday. While skating with my Mom she fell and broke her leg. I remember being so scared and I knew my mom was trying to be brave but I knew she was in a lot of pain.
While in the ambulance she was worried about us girls more than herself. We had been talking about the Holy Ghost because I was going to be baptized soon. I remember holding her hand and telling her everything was going to be okay because the Holy Ghost was with us. It truly was. I will never forget the feeling I had that day in the ambulance. Even though I didn't have the Holy Ghost yet I could feel it and I knew what it was. I just hope that all of us will recognize the Holy Ghost and follow the promptings we receive. No matter how big or small the might seem.

Jess,
That was a very spiritual experience for me as well. The Holy Ghost has been a wonderful gift in my life and I know in yours. I'm so grateful for the knowledge that we can have that spirit with us when ever we need comfort, direction, strength or knowledge. I know your lesson will be wonderful tomorrow. You are a amazing person.
I love you so much!!!!
What beautiful thoughts to start my morning, thank you! I will read the talk and pretend like you are teaching me :) Then you can read the YW lesson 3 Building the Kingdom of God and pretend like I'm teaching it to you, cause I am teaching that today to my Mia Maids.
Good luck and have a great Sunday!
