Yesterday was the perfect day.
The television wasn't turned on once.
I enjoyed listening to Sophie's stories and all the things she needed to tell me.
Oliver was content and went along with everything we did.
It made me count my many blessings and be thankful for them.

Today hasn't started off too great.
I tried jogging and didn't even make it around the corner because of a screaming little boy.
Once home Sophie fell out of the stroller and get hurt.
Once Curious George was turned on both children were content.
But I'm trying to make today just as great as yesterday and to remember to slow down and listen to my children, to play with them and enjoy being a mother.

I love that you are trying during the perfect days and the not so perfect days as well. You are the best gift you can give to your kids. They are so lucky to have such an amazing mom. Keep trying. . . . your focus is just right.
