Why is it that some farmers roll the hay instead of bale it?

It looks like that cow needs to be milked, huh?

As we were driving past this we had to turn around and get a better look. Can you tell what these are?

That's right, Elk

Now I've never heard of an Elk Ranch. But there is such a thing. Turns out you can hunt some of these elk for a fee of $4,000-10,000.

I'm so glad you are living in FARM COUNTRY. You will learn so much being in the great outdoors. I don't think dad can afford to hunt elk at the Madsen Ranch. He may just have to take his chances camping at CHICKEN CREEK with Kyle and the hunting MEN. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I'm glad you guys have gotten away from the city and get to explore the great outdoors. I have found I love being in Rexburg because at night you can see all the stars and don't have to worry about city lights. There are perks to living in a small town.
It makes me miss the west and those gorgeous mountains! I hope your move went well and you guys are adjusting well!
Your pictures were so clear I think I could smell the hay and the cows. Don't let Grandpa Burgess know about the Elk ranch. His basement is full of wild animals already. Hey Jessica, my Grandpa Chadwick had a cabin in American Fork canyon and he did have a big moose head behind the door. It was fun to hang hats on....Have you tried any peaches yet? That picture would definately make me homesick.
