My Wish

Give me the light to see my path
And strength to walk therein;
If stony steps may be my way
To falter would be sin.
I ask that it may lead me
Along life's busy road;
That always I'll go forward,
No matter what my load.
This poem couldn't fit my situation more perfectly. It was written by my Great Grandmother Inez Clark Burgess. She wrote poems. She wrote a book entitiled, " I Love Life- verses and poems." I came across it yesterday as I was packing. Today is our last Saturday living in American Fork. I'm sad to leave. This is "home" to me.
I've never lived away from home. Or in the college dorms. I've always stayed close to my parents and now I'm leaving. I'm going off to college with my family. I'm sad to go but I'm excited for what lies ahead. Just as my Great Grandmother said, Along life's busy road that I will always move forward. Always.

You haved learned so much close to your family, now it's time to go forward as you begin this amazing new journey.
My grandmother had a wonderful gift of using words to share her heart. Thanks for remembering the love that so many have for you. Don't forget that love goes with you where ever you are.
